We are pleased to share that our usage remains truly international and that in 2025, our global usage increased by 18% reaching 2,741,770.

African Journals Initiative
We are also pleased to share that the first year of the African Journals Initiative, established with the African Books Collective, has been a success. The initiative has helped to raise the profile, discoverability and usage of the selected HSS journals, while also securing support from prestigious libraries in the USA and UK through CRL and Jisc.
The confirmed titles for inclusion in the 2026 African Journals Initiative are:
- African Journal of Bioethics
- Bakwethu: A Journal of Shakespeare Studies (formerly Shakespeare in Southern Africa)
- Botswana Notes and Records
- Ghana Journal of Sociology and Anthropology
- People Centred – The Journal of Development Administration

As a Diamond Open Access Publisher, we rely on the support of a fantastic network of libraries to sustain our collections.
